Frequently Asked Questions About Saved Puzzles
Your custom puzzles are stored using your browser’s local storage. This means your puzzles remain accessible on this device and in this specific browser – no accounts or passwords required. If you clear your browser data or switch devices, you won’t see these puzzles anymore.
Yes! Just click the Edit link on any puzzle in your “My Puzzles” list. You’ll be taken to the puzzle creator page, where you can adjust the title or words. When you save your changes, the old puzzle is updated – no need to start from scratch.
Click the Delete link on any puzzle in your “My Puzzles” list. The puzzle will be removed from local storage and disappear from your list. If you delete your last puzzle, you’ll be redirected to the “Create a Puzzle” page to start fresh.
Each time you open a puzzle, it’s re-generated with the same word list — but the positions of the words in the grid can vary slightly. This means the words themselves won’t change, but you might see a slightly different arrangement of letters and overlaps each time. If you are wanting to print out multiple copies of a word search and then print out a version that displays the answers, we recommend that you do so in the same session to ensure the answer sheet is accurate.
